Plans to build a 300-bed hotel on Greenwich Peninsula has been given the seal of approval by Councillors in the latest stage of the redevelopment of the Peninsula.
The landmark building, which is adjacent to the O2 in Greenwich, will become an 18 storey hotel, providing accommodation options for those visiting the nearby O2 and Maritime Greenwich World Heritage Site.
Councillors praised the distinctive design and striking appearance of the hotel plans and described it as an efficient use of a site in an urban location.
Construction of the hotel will start in Q1, 2023.
