The official launch of Engine Works Park, Yeats's flagship commercial and innovation scheme, was marked on 8 May with a ribbon-cutting led by Councillor Leo Britcher, Deputy Mayor of Margate. The 126,000 sq ft scheme delivers 59 high-specification SME units from 1,500 to 5,100 sq ft across a four-acre site at Westwood — the former Cummins plot, derelict since 2018. Each unit features split-level layouts, super-fast broadband, three-phase electricity, solar PV and EV charging. Units are now available at engineworkspark.com.
Irish entrepreneur Niall Molloy — founder of Aldgate Developments and Echelon Data Centres — is backing a £100m programme to roll out innovation hubs across the UK, with the first scheme developed by Yeats in Margate. Designed as an e-commerce 3.0 facility for online sellers and growing SMEs, units are available to purchase and rent, with investor returns in excess of 7% projected.
Thanet has launched its bid for UK City of Culture 2029 — a campaign that would accelerate the regeneration already reshaping Margate and the wider isle, and strengthen the occupational story behind Yeats's East Kent schemes.
The steady migration of Londoners to Margate continues to reshape Thanet's economy — bringing new businesses, footfall and demand for high-quality commercial space to the catchments where Yeats is invested.
