Yeats was involved in the planning of a300-bed hotel on Greenwich Peninsula.
The landmark building, which is adjacent to the O2 in Greenwich, will become an 18 storey hotel, providing accommodation options for those visiting the nearby O2 and Maritime Greenwich World Heritage Site.
The building will be designed to use variations of cladding depths, colours and textures to visually break down the repetitive metric of the windows. The vertical emphasis was created by the necessity to locate hotel rooms above one another as the previous design proposal has been largely disguised by the cladding design. The elevations to the car park element had the same cladding as the rest of the building incorporating bespoke vertical perforations to provide cross ventilation.
The building will also be also created with the Government and Council’s green aspirations in mind, providing appropriate mitigation where required.
